Thanks for the lead. I checked out the site and registered with autodealermanagementnetwork.com. Not much activity it seems but maybe I can help change that. I read that....you make some excellent points. Frankly, I think the biggest reason there is not more activity is that people are simply unaware of these sites. As for www.automotivemanagementnetwork.com over 1,500 members have been added in the past year with membership now over 2,600. There were over 100 new messages in the past month putting total messages near 2,000. These numbers continue to grow which is not too bad for a relatively new and unknown site. A lot of work is being done to expand it significantly.

The dealer is site is pretty much brand new and has not been promoted at this point.

When I launched AutoIndustryForum.com, I expected it to grow much quicker. The auto industry is huge and there is no shortage of news and gossip floating around. I began to wonder if maybe the automotive industry is lagging behind the rest of the world in terms of technology? Are industry professionals too busy, or just too stuck in the past to adapt to the changing world around them?

Very interesting discussion. And I also agree that there is a lack of awareness. Feel free to spread the word about this forum, and I'll do the same with our members' sites.

I have created a list of sites which relate to people in the industry. From time to time an opportunity/request occurs about such sites. I try to respond by posting the list, which does include this site.
