Just curious - where is everyone currently living? I am in Southern California. Do you think location-specific forums would be beneficial to the community here?

Mark,
I would vote against the regional approach. I'm in Oregon near Eugene. It is bad enough that most physical meetings are in SoCal or Michigan/Chicagoland. We don't get near as much out of our SEMA membership as those located in SoCal. Don't limit yourself or your members.

Myles -
Thank you for the input - I agree with you. The purpose of the forum is to connect everyone in the industry from all over the world.
As for being in Oregon - you might not get a lot out of your SEMA membership (I'm from Southern CA and I don't get much out of it here either, so don't worry!), but you certainly have a beautiful state up there.
If you have any feedback or suggestions for the forum, by all means feel free to contact me. I appreciate you being an active member here, and I hope this forum benefits you.
Thanks again,
Mark

Welcome to Auto Industry Forum, Randy!
Quick question - have you been to "Your Brilliant Career" on AutomotiveDigest.com (http://www.automotivedigest.com/Your_Brilliant_Career.asp)? There are currently a small number of job postings for available positions in the industry.
Do you have any suggestions for that section of the site? Or anything you'd like to add?
Thanks in advance - and welcome to the forum!

I'm sure you're enjoying the great Southern CA weather like I am right now! It's beautiful!
Thanks for the kind words about the forum - by all means, please tell anyone you know in the industry about it. The more members we have, the better off everyone will be, I think.
In the meantime, welcome to this "family of Forum!" :)

Here in the UK, most industry analysts are discussing the fall out from the MG Rover collapse...it's almost as boring as the election discussions! :)
It's great to get the perspective from the other side of the Atlantic, so keep up the good work, y'all.

Great to have someone from the UK here! I know we have some members from India as well. I'd love to get your take on the UK market and what's happening over there (especially with the recent MG Rover incident!). Welcome to the forum, and please let your collegues know about it.
Thanks, and hello from the U.S.!

It's great to have members from all over the world! I think we all have a lot to learn from our international members, so don't feel out of place at all.

actually Brad according to menhealth...if I even READ...im in the upper crust..the fact that I read alot, and workout pretty much puts me in the top 1%....the truth be told, I dont feel too special and I know im not...the only thing people ahve time for here is bnuilding H1+H2 Hummers/GMC trucks and sitting home to eat...
Funny thing is now there are more commercial vacancy signs, and empty road signs here than people...the economy is doing so "great" all the fat people are leaving.

Hi All:
Currently (last 10 years) living in Cincinnati , OH. Very conservative market conditions. As they say, ..."if it works in Cinicinnati, it will work anywhere"!
I travel all over the country, with my dealership consulting business. It's interesting to see how all the different areas operate and what thier uniqu concerns are.
Thanks again for the forum...It's great fun...and informative.
