Hey all god im glad I found this site its good to know that there’s a place to go and chat regarding the biz.
Anyway i have a couple of questions that maybe you can help me with.
Im looking to open my own shop here in nj and having a hard time finding a insurance carrier for my dealership anyone know of a couple of good places I can check. Second part to the first question is the DMV online says that the dealer plates are only 100$ to register but require that you have a 10k bond on your company does anyone know where I can find bond companies or do they mean 10k to them and them meaning dmv?
And last im looking for private investors that might be interested in lending money as im looking for more funds for more autos and other misc fee's for this place. I would be willing to give a interest rate back or be willing to have a % of my dealership as collateral.
I have worked in the used car biz most of my life so i have a good feeling about it, plus the point that buyhere payhere's right now are going like hot cakes being that everyone's credit is shot. LOL atleast thats what i have read and seen from old friends at dealerships making money tell me.
Well let me know on all these factors, Im sure i will have more questions down the way. And again im glad to be here.

i have a few auction houses by me like adesa, and a place in old bridge NJ but I was hoping that a few of you are maybe live by me and could tell me if you know of good places in the tri-state area PA,NY,NJ that are good for buyhere-payhere type cars. $400-700 cars get my drift. But not to rough looking of cars. I have a couple of dealers that i know like i mentioned before that get there cars from these place's and they are nice enough to resell at 2-3k. You might be asking if i know these dealers why not ask them, well that’s cause i dont want to use favors to early this stage in the game. And don’t want to look to dullard. LOL.
