Hello everybody,

Is there somewhere I can look to see all the arguments for and against the use of electrical actuation as a replacement of hydraulic systems on cars in particular.

I am looking for reliability data based on a good number of applications and if they are available for brake actuation.

I am also looking for information on maintainability studies for each type of system with comparisons between the two.

I am trying to understand why it has taken so long for electric actuation (e.g. for braking systems with antiskid) to be implemented widely on cars.

Kindest regards,

Chris

P.S. very nice forum.
