My control arm fell off my 2005 CTS-v while driving.
Luckily, this happened at 5 MPH. At freeway speeds, I'd be dead.
The dealer was completely not interested in trading out this faulty car. I have a lease, and they easily could have given me a different car. Instead they "fixed it" (a bolt was not properly attached to the control arm/frame).
They then told me to drive it away, that all was well.
Needless to say, what if the airbags, steering column, or engine mounts are poorly assembled? I won't drive this car. I'm selling it at a loss.
Don't buy things from these people. They are a sloppy manufacturer, and have no interest in safety.
