The Japanese onslaught of ultra-American (or, better than American) production has spilled over into the alternative fuel arena. And, it may make for a pretty big stink in the next few years.

An article has divulged that Japanese agri-scientists have come up with a way to create gasoline from cow-dung under intensive heat and pressure. The current production ratio is like half an ounce of gasoline for every three and a half ounces of dung. Imagine that. With alternative fuel being as hot a topic as it is, domestics may be subject to elimination from the medal positions in the industry in yet another important event.

GM has taken a step forward by making serious commitment to ethanol-powered automobiles, and Ford is becoming a Hybrid heavy, but now this. Though South American countries have developed and implemented alternative fuel energies long ago, the direct competition Brazilian and Chilean products have posed to our industry domestics has been minimal, at best. Japan, however, is likely to start kicking our butts (no pun intended) if it turns out that they are effectively able to lead the development of alternative fuel autos.

So, I have posted this discovery and the link beneath in hopes that our academia and spirited inventors will save the age. We need new Edsel B. Fords, and new Ben Franklins, and new Garrett A. Morgans. The diversity of knowledge and technology has astounded our society, but we can afford no longer to be paralyzed by awe.
