Out of State Sales

How many dealers/wholesalers sell cars out of state, or buy cars out of state? What issues do you have to deal with?

The dealership I worked for used to source cars from out of state to save money, but then shipping ate up the savings. Although I have read that some dealers make huge profits when they buy cars from out of state.

Any thoughts or experience?

In answer to your post... We are a lender and we are experiencing a growing demand from our dealers for more cars. We are actually offering to purchase and supply our network of dealers cars from out of our area. We are experiencing a short supply at this time but are looking to purchase up to 200 units per month right now. With this volume we are able to purchase at a bit better price and this makes our dealers in our network very happy at this time. Maybe we can help....
