I am a new member to this forum. I have been a Consumer Advocate for more than two years. My area of expertise is related to Used Car Dealerships and Subprime Auto Lending.
I just purchased a 2006 Jeep Commander Limited, with a 5.7 liter Hemi. The Subprime Auto Lending Industry appears to be out of control, in terms of predatory practices. I am one of 13,000 Iowa Consumers who was victimized by Dan Nelson, the notorious Sioux Falls South Dakota car dealer. The business practices of this dealer led to a Consumer Protection lawsuit being filed by the Iowa Attorney General.
My Consumer Advocacy has involved initiating relationships with reputable new and used car dealers. I have spent considerable time on the preservation of many relationships between the finance company and the consumer.
I would like to hear from others with similar concerns that relate to the current trends in Subprime Auto Lending.
