While Driving My Engine Abruptly Started Making A Loud Noise Then Seemed To Explode And Stop. Jaguar Tells Me That The Engine Needs To Be Replaced. It Is A V6 With 44725 Miles. Jaguar Claims That The Engine Has Been Neglected And Therefore They Are Only Willing To Pay $2573 Out Of $6940. They Claim The Engine Is "all Sludged Up". I Have Provided Jaguar With The Copies Of Bills From Oil Changes. There Service People Have Said Oil Changes Every 10,000 Would Be Acceptable. My Frequency Is Much Better Then That. Aside From The Oil Changes That I Have Had Done, There Were Oil Changes Done By Myself. I Have Always Purchased A Case Of Oil And Filters And Frequently Change The Oil In My Cars. I Think My A.a.s. Degree In Automotive Technology From Farmingdale University Qualifies Me To Change My Oil And Filter. This Vehicle Is Still Under Warranty And The Oil And Filter Has Been Changed. I Feel Their Claim Is Unfounded And I Should Not Have To Pay This Bill. My Car Is At The Dealer Now, Huntington Jaguar In Northport, Ny. There Number Is 631-427-2708 And The Contact There Is Ed. The Area Rep, Bill Mckeegan Is The Person Calling The Shots. He Does Not Talk To The Public. I Spoke With Jaguar Customer Service At 800-452-4827 Contact There Was Jose. He Called Bill Mckeegan And Proceeded To Call Me Back Repeating Bill Mckeegans Decision. I Have Not Done Anything Wrong Here And Really Need Help.
