Our client, who is a leading provider of comprehensive digital map information for automotive navigation systems as well as mobile navigation devices and Internet-based mapping applications, is searching for a Channel Marketing Specialist in the Newark-New Jersey and Los Angeles-California area. This is a high profile marketing opportunity focused on developing programs with OEM’s, automotive dealers and Tier 1 & 2 navigation system suppliers. The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for the tactical marketing activities focused on our client’s relationships dealers (OEM’s, automotive dealers and Tier 1 & 2 navigation system suppliers). This job will include implementing programs to improve the focus placed on navigation systems. The individual will also be responsible for the implementation of other consumer value awareness programs aimed at increasing the yield on consumer updates and increasing customer take rates.
Other functions include:
- Influence the Dealer channel to improve their focus on navigation.
- Implement activities aimed at increasing dealer awareness of navigation systems within the Automotive accounts.
- Develop an understanding of the dealer needs regarding the successful up sell of navigation systems by each individual account.
- Constantly gather analysis and metrics regarding the effectiveness of dealer/channel implementations and update Account Executives (AEs) and the Customer Marketing organization on the effectiveness.
- Develop marketing and training materials for the Dealer Programs – Dealer cards, Training material, brochures, articles, etc. Special focus will be on the execution of the “Train the Trainer” program aimed towards assisting dealers on selling navigation systems and map updates.
- Build and foster relationships with the Automotive Dealer Sales Organization to establish NTC as a value-added Channel Sales Partner.
- Creation, implementation and support of National sales incentive programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree required emphasis on Marketing, Business, or related field
- 2 to 5 years of Marketing and/or Sales experience, software related preferred but not required
- Training experience
- Experience working with automotive dealer programs, consumer direct models a plus
- Strong presentation skills
