Hey everyone...I am new to this site and I was wondering what would be the best way to look around for internships... I am a Carnegie Mellon student in Architecture and International Relations and I have always been interested in Car design since I was young. I heard it was hard to get into the auto industry as of late and I dont know how I should proceed in finding out about internships at design houses or even the bigger car companies.... If anyone knows any internships or how they received one down the line or who I should contact that would be great....and thanks everyone...

I can't offer you any specific help, but I wanted to congratulate you for being at a great school, and having a lot to look forward to career-wise!

has most the info you need to get started in auto design. I was once like you too, problem is, it seems like you have to go to school specifically for auto design to get into the industry. It seems like an obscure career, but it's probably one of the most expensive, competitve, and intense education programs you can do. from the research I did into it, I would say you have to be willing to sacrifice your social life and financial security to follow through with it.
