Car weight

hello everyone,

my friends and I are doing an work about saving weight on automobiles.

What we are trying to find right now is how each car system contributes to the overall weight of the car. This is quite relative, for example, glasse represents 20%, the chassis, 25%, the suspension 15% and so on...

the problem is that we haven't found anything yet....any help is appreciated

In 1979 DOT built a car using mainly sculpted foam for the body. Car was very cool, efficient, 30MPG, plus incredibly safe. How safe, you could survive an 80 MPH front end crash! How this for a suggestion dude? iif you want to know more, let me know.
