As I drive down the freeways, flip through magazines, and watch TV, I find that I'm bombarded with advertisements for cars.

I know GM is the one of the largest advertiser in the country, so it's no surprise that they have ads everywhere.

My question is - how do you feel about car ads? Which brand (and thus, agency) do you feel is doing the best job?

I'm interested to hear what you think!

I think that Mini has done some very different and cool stuff. Their agency, Crispin, Porter + Bogusky is known for doing off the wall, no rules kinds of ads. So I'm not surprised.

Mini has received the "Client of the Year" award for several years running thanks to their flexibility and willingness to embrace CP+B's wacky ideas and original thinking.

Good point, Kristi. Mini's stuff is definitely better than the ads that say things like "The All-New 2006 WhoCares!" Most of the other manufacturers have ads that are just as nondescript and unexciting as their cars. It just seems like so many companies could do so much more than they're doing!
