Just curious - what conference are you going to next?
Is anyone going to the NABD conference in early May in Las Vegas? Or Auto Remarketing's iRemarketing in AZ? Any other conferences you'll be attending?

Let me see this year we attended the NADA, ATD, work truck, and mid american truck show, will be attending, NIADA, NABD, and SEMA shows.
I think that the shows are an important time to catch up with whats what and whos who in the industry. It keeps me focused on changing client needs and the newest trends. It is also a great way to make new connections within the industry. It does seem as though the number of conferences are growing each year.

Wow, that's quite a list of conferences. You are absolutely right though - they are a great opportunity for keeping abreast of the goings on in the industry, and also a great place to network.
Do you find that some conferences are more beneficial than others? If so, which ones?

There needs to be more ways, opportunities, and resources to help conference attendee really get a "Take Away" from an industry conference.. Assoications and conference management companies do good job of getting people to attend, exhibit, and smooze, but need to create ways for attendees to actual take an idea or product home and implement or use it.

I'm going to SEMA in November too. I won't be hitting PRI at its new location this year.

Have you regularly attended the PRI show in the past? I went last year for the first time and was blown away by its size!! I'll try to make SEMA this time around.

What converntions or conferences an industry executive attends depends on what your objectives are. SEMA is for people in the aftermarket of which racing is a small part. PRI is about performance racing of which the aftermarket is a small part.
So what what conventioning you invest in depends on what your business objectives are and what you do to get a pay check.
