Carlos Ghosn will most likely become CEO of Renault on April 29. This will be the first time in the automotive industry that an executive will be the CEO of two large companies. While Ghosn himself is confident he'll be able to handle both, there are plenty of people that have their doubts.
Do you think he'll be able to "Japan-ize" Renault's vehicles and bring success to the company?

I wouldnt be suprised if he did very well with both. I had the pleasure of meeting him and I could tell, even by the way he presents himself, that he knows what he is getting into. I wish him the best of success.
How difficult could it be running Renault and Nissan? Renault is a small player in most European markets and they get much of their stuff from Nissan anyway I am fairly certain. Nissan is a bigger player with many times larger a market worldwide. So when you look at both you see Nissan and Renault in many aspects can be run using the same frmaes and other parts as well as the engineering costs can be shared between the two companies because their costs are so high. Anyway, you can share expenses they will and have. The only difference I can see between the two companies is marketing.

I can see why Renault has been virtually invisible for the last 25 years and this will assure them that they will continue down this path for the next 20 years. The only advantage to this would be because Nissan is positioning Renault to be sold or amputated.
