I need answers

I have two ford c.v.
With both number (4) spark plug blown, one vehicle has 107.088 mileage, year 2000, the other 1999, 90.000 mileage, also number (4) spark plug blown.
I was told that this is common for ford c.v. these vehicles are police cars and that the factory said that is is common for a 4.6/8 cyl and 6.5 cyl/v10. per bulletin 15815.

If this is true why dont the builders let the people know about this kind of problem.

The shop had replace these spark plugs at 2000 mile.

Thank you

John -

Sorry to hear about your problems with the Crown Vic's. If you're wondering why the manufacturer (Ford) doesn't let consumers know about this problem, they probably don't know it's a problem until it's out of their hands. Then, they send out a service bulletin so if a consumer takes their car to a shop, it's easy for the mechanic to diagnose and repair.

Hopefully someone else on this fourm will be able to jump in and offer some advice.

Good luck!
