Newbi Question: Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello to all, I am new to this message board. I looked at the threads but none of them awnsered the questions that I have. I am interested in selling used cars by appointment only. I would like to keep 10 used cars in a warehouse and sell by appointment only.(legitamite marketing with a website with pictures of the inventory). The cars would be in the price range of 20k-45k. This appointment strategy is aimed to offer excellent service on a 1 on 1 basis. Any input or suggestions on this idea would be great. Thanks guys.

My best advice would be to get yourself an excellent website. Make sure you are updated them regularly and the pictures of your warehouse and the cars are in high quality and good taste. I would also advertise in the magazines that cater to the upper middle class seeing the price range of your cars.

This idea is good, just be careful. The price range of vehicles that you are targeting exposes you to some of the quickest depreciation in the industry. By only having a limited inventory, you in turn limit your market and increase your wholesale loss exposure. My suggestion would be to put that inventory on a very diciplined and short turn-time, 30 days or less. Letting this price band of inventory age could prove very costly.
